Itinerary
Travel Schedule
Day 1- Arrival at Mysore and Head to Ooty
On arrival in Mysore, we will start for Ooty at 7 am. Our guides will receive you from the station. Once you reach Ooty, after freshening up, we will start our Ooty sightseeing trip. You will start your journey to the crowned capital of Nilgiri Hills. Arrive at the hotel in Ooty and check-in. Go sightseeing to Ooty Lake & Boat Club, Botanical Gardens, Tea Factory & Museum, and Doddabetta Peak. At the end of the day, get back to the hotel for a comfortable overnight stay.
Day 2- Coonoor Sightseeing
An hour’s ride to Coonoor, after breakfast we will start at 9 am and drive to the city of tea houses. It is beautifully situated among the hills with spectacular views. The city has the world's oldest railway station where you can ride the Toy Train. Hiking and trekking is a major activity when you reach the Lamb’s Nose. Doddabetta Peak is a watchtower, you can get some amazing pictures clicked here. Wellington, 3 Kms from Coonoor is a peaceful tiny military town. Ketti Valley is the largest Valley in the Nilgiris. It is often compared to Switzerland, for its majestic views. The valley is the headquarters of a major needle making industry, pony needles. Get back to the hotel in Ooty at the end of the day for a good night’s sleep.
Day 3- Departure
The breakfast will be served a little early. At 9 am, we would start for Bandipur. It was the hunting ground of Maharaja of Mysore. It was established in 1974 and is rich in varieties of teak trees and sandalwood trees. It is home to many species like the Hornbill, Python, Panther and even the Tiger. You will enjoy a safari inside the sanctuary. The safari starts early and it takes around 1 hour to move around the park. While going to Wenlock Downs, you will visit the Sandynallah Reservoir, which is a dam situated on the Nilgiri slopes. There is a pine forest adjacent to it and many walking trails. You can spot some kingfishers, cranes, and herons over here. Up in the Mukurthi Hills, Pykara Falls drives down with much elegance. It has a boathouse too. Later, you will be transferred to Mysore, according to your departure times.
